Haulage!!

Went to the outlets today. I bought new watches: another one for work and another casual/everyday kind of watch (because the one I currently have right now has too much BLING BLING! haha). Also went to the CCO. Ehh. I got a few things, but there wasn't much selection. Grr. I don't like the CCO's down here in San Diego. They have waaay better things at the CCO's in VEGAS!!! =)

Here's the damage:

Everyday Minerals HAUL

Yeah, I know..HAULS! I can't help it! It started out just wanting the puff jars so I can put my minerals in it when I'm on the go. I have something similar with Urban Decay, but I LOVE Bare Minerals & since Bare Minerals hasn't come up with an "on-the-go" type of contraption. Haha. Then I started wanting more and more things, so I ended up getting the super custom kit that lets you choose 12 full sized items of your choice for $50 and I got free gifts too! Thank You EverdayMinerals!! I know I'm not the only person who has the problem of finding the right color of foundation through everyday minerals and I've ordered the trial kits, and still, no luck. But hopefully the ones I ordered will match me. If not, I'll just have to mix them. And if they come out too dark, I'll just give them to my sister<3.

I got:
- 5 foundations
- 4 puff jars
- 3 flat top buffer brushes (loves it!)
- cellulose sponge
- free gifts: 2 mineral eyeshadows and 1 full sized blush

All these can be purchased at EverydayMinerals.com.

Retail Therapy = HAUL TIME!

So, I had to relieve some stress by doing what I do best...SHOPPING! Went to the Victoria's Secret where they were having a 2 for $20 sale, MAC of course and because I had some things to Back2Mac, Steve Madden, & Walgreens - they were having a buy one get one half off on the Revlon ColorStay line. Here's my damage for the day...

This is what I got from my Back2Mac - MAC eyeshadow in GOLDMINE

What can I say? I'm such a blush whore! I can never get enough. Haha. I got 2 blushcremes in Posey (left) and Lilicent (right)

Coastal Scents HAUL pt. 2

I got my Coastal Scents shimmer palette in the mail today. One of the colors was cracked. Eek! It wasn't totally ruined, it was just the top that was cracked. Not a big deal I guess.

All these can be purchased at CoastalScents.com

Coastal Scents HAUL!

I finally recieved my 2 coastal scents palettes and the flat top buffer brush I ordered. Now, I'm waiting for the 88 shimmer palette since I ordered that a couple days later than the rest of the order. This is what I recieved:

I can't wait to put these to use!

I've been on the search on finding a pressed powder.  I'm a mineral makeup user, but from time to time, I like to switch it up as many of you do.  My main purpose of looking for a pressed powder is sometimes I'm in too much of a hurry, mainly because I'm running late and at those times, I just don't have time to put on my mineral foundation. The main concern with me is worrying if the product will break me out or if the powder oxidizes quickly and makes my face looking orange.

I like this Tarte Mineral Pressed Powder. It gives sheeer/light to medium coverage and best of all, it contains SPF8! If you're looking for a full coverage powder, this might not be for you. It's light, not heavy on the face at all. It has a matte finish and takes away all the oil and shine. I usually wear this powder over my tinted moisturizer and it gives me a flawless, full coverage look. For the price, the package could be A LOT BETTER. The packaging of this powder just looks so cheap! Though it's cute and purple, It's held together by a magnet. Not like all other powder compacts, this one is not in a plastic case. It comes with a sponge and has a separate compartment for the sponge. Also, the mirror on the compact itself is so small! I can barely see my face in it!

Product: 5 out of 5
Packaging: 2 out of 5
Quality: 5 out of 5
Overall: 4 out of 5
Price: $28 at Sephora

What it claims: "Don't hide that gorgeous skin under a thick layer of cakey powder. Simply send that sheen undercover with a few dabs of Tarte's whisper light provocateur powder. The soft mineral formula can be used with a brush for light coverage or a sponge for a more opaque finish.

Skinvigorating™ Benefits
• SPF 8 (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide): a chemical-free sunscreen that protects from UV damage
• Oil, talc, paraben and fragrance-free
• Natural, mineral-based, hypoallergenic formula is compatible with all skin types
• A blend of plant-derived emollients including coconut oil to moisturize and hydrate skin
• Vitamins A & E condition skin and provide antioxidant protection
"

PRO's:
- Great coverage (for me)
- Mineral based
- Doesn't turn my face orange
- Have had no allergic reactions or breakouts

CON's:
- Costs $28
- Package could be a lot better

Overall, I like the powder, it works well for me, but the company can improve on the packaging. Would I re-purchase? YES!
